FAQ # 10: Did WTC 7 Owner Larry Silverstein Admit to Ordering the Controlled Demolition of the Building?

During a TV interview with PBS for “America Rebuilds” in 2004, WTC 7 owner and Twin Towers leaseholder Larry Silverstein made the following statement about the destruction of Building 7:

Regardless of WTC leaseholder Larry Silverstein's statements about the fall of WTC7, the evidence of controlled demolition indicates he should be questioned in a real 9/11 investigation

"I remember getting a call from the fire department commander, telling me that they were not sure they were gonna be able to contain the fire, and I said, 'We've had such terrible loss of life, maybe the smartest thing to do is pull it.' And they made that decision to pull and then we watched the building collapse."

When Silverstein said "pull it", was he referring to the explosive controlled demolition of the building?

WTC 7 Wreckage Pile

PM’s next section discusses the actual collapse of WTC 7 and the condition of the wreckage pile after it collapsed. It creates the impression that both of these issues can be explained by natural means rather than demolition. As we shall see, this is simply not the case, as with virtually all of PM’s arguments against demolition.

PM rehashes its previous arguments that most of the collapse of WTC 7 occurred inside the building, and was hidden from sight. They also argue that it is reasonable that Building 7 collapsed straight down instead of toppling like a tree. To support this, they cite Protec Demolition Company employee Brent Blanchard, who offers two reasons why Building 7 collapsed straight down:

Blanchard says that ‘conspiracy theorists’ have misappropriated his example of felling a tree for multiple reasons. WTC 7 was 330 feet long at its maximum, and 140 feet wide. Unlike tipping a tree a few feet in diameter, tipping WTC 7 would have required deflecting the building more than 70 feet north or south before its center of gravity moved beyond its base — an incomprehensible margin, particularly because WTC seven sustained no external lateral forces…

Hope for Public Awareness of 9/11 Truth May Lie With the Youth

Richard Gage, AIA, and other AE911Truth presenters have spoken in more than 50 colleges and universities in the United States and around the world. However, only a half dozen of these events so far have resulted from direct invitations from the institutions that were also paid for by them. Dave Slesinger, the leader of the AE911Truth Public Outreach Team, wanted that situation to change. NACA and Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities (APCA) provide convenient access for colleges to hire speakers and entertainers by producing conferences to showcase their talents. Hoping to be booked for the upcoming spring or fall semester, the speakers present their ten-minute showcase talks and acts to campus activities directors and their students.

Our initial offering in the college speaking market was at the University of Maryland, where we were booked by the University to speak about the 9/11 evidence.

This past spring, Dave realized how the college speaking circuit could apply to the mission of AE911Truth. Why not send our founder, Richard Gage, to the conferences and get him booked at colleges that would pay for the enlightening experience of being exposed to the explosive 9/11 evidence? It’s a win-win opportunity to bring our message to college students, faculty, and administration, Dave noted.

The fact that student activities funds are approximately $50 per student per semester means that the larger schools have millions of student activity dollars in search of speakers and entertainers, he added.
