AE911Truth is dedicated to educating people from all walks of life about the explosive destruction of the WTC skyscrapers, and this mission has enlightened a variety of faith communities. Founder Richard Gage, AIA, and the AE911Truth Presenter Team have reached out to churches, mosques and Jewish groups with the goal of bringing people of all religions together in support of a real 9/11 investigation – and you could be the catalyst for the next breakthrough. Over a dozen churches from a variety of denominations have hosted AE911Truth events over the last few years, including the Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles, the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Paradise Valley, Arizona, and the First Churches of Northampton, Massachusetts. One of the most uplifting AE911Truth events of 2011 was the “Engineering Change” symposium at the First Iconium Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Gage’s informative presentation there was accompanied by an energetic speech from WeAreChange founder Luke Rudkowski, and talented musicians Eva James and Afua Richardson inspired the audience. “The pastor of First Iconium has been supportive of our efforts,” Gage said, “and it was a pleasure to deliver the truth of 9/11 in his place of worship.” AE911Truth Presenter Team leader Dan Noël has also made inroads in his community. Noël’s efforts to inform fellow members of the Orange Coast Unitarian Universalist Church spurred the church board to pass a motion in 2010 that recognizes 9/11 Truth as an affiliated organization. According to Noël, “the pertinent question is not why this church has its own 9/11 Truth group, but why any religious organization should not have one of its own.”
AE911Truth has also reached out to Islamic institutions with outstanding results. In 2009, Gage spoke at the Al Aman Mosque in New Jersey to a group of nearly 300. At the beginning of the presentation, 103 members of the audience supported the official explanation for the WTC catastrophe; afterwards, all but four attendees agreed with the evidence for controlled demolition. The most recent outreach to the Muslim community occurred at the annual meeting of the Nation of Islam in Chicago, Illinois, on February 25. Gage joined 9/11 whistleblower Kevin Ryan on stage as he detailed the scientific and eyewitness evidence that proves the Twin Towers and WTC Building 7 were brought down with explosives. The crowd of over 3000 attendees responded at the end with a standing ovation.
“While we don’t endorse the controversial views of the Nation of Islam, we do commend their decision to learn what really happened to the WTC skyscrapers and to do something about it,” Gage explained. “We hope that they will partner with other faith groups – as well as non-religious groups – to disseminate this vital information.” In 2010, AE911Truth was invited to speak to Rabbi Michael Lerner, who is considered by some to be one of the most influential progressive rabbis in America. Gage gave a short presentation to Lerner and about 20 others at a Shabbat service and meal in Lerner’s home in San Francisco. Although Lerner downplayed the implications of the explosive 9/11 evidence, he and his colleagues acknowledged that the truth of what happened on that tragic day appears to have been covered up.
“I am optimistic that as we continue to educate the public, more Jewish groups will examine the WTC evidence and call for a real investigation,” Gage said. AE911Truth is always looking for more faith-based organizations to reach out to. If you are a member or leader of a church, temple, mosque, synagogue, or other religious center, and you would like us to give a presentation to your congregation, please fill out the “Contact Us” form on our website, and make sure to select “Presentations” in the Subject Area field. With your participation, people from diverse backgrounds will recognize that demanding true justice and accountability for 9/11 is an essential step on the pathway to peace.
