Given the 800,000 practicing physicians in the US (about half the number of architects and engineers) we believe that Medical Professionals for 9/11 Truth has the potential to rapidly expand its numbers.

We encourage all of you to forward the website link (http://mp911truth.org/) to all medical professionals that you know – for doctors, nurses, dentists, and allied health professionals are generally great listeners and have receptive scientific minds.

Co-founder, together with three other co-founding members, Dr. Jonathan Weisbuch has served as the Chief Health Officer for the States of Wyoming and North Dakota, as well as Los Angeles County, CA, and Maricopa County, AZ. He says: "We are appalled by the lack of scientific rigor and the substantial omissions and blatant distortions in the official account of 9/11 as embodied in the 9/11 Commission Report and related government documents."

The petition includes the following statement, indicating its relationship to several of the other 9/11 Truth groups: "As medical professionals, we are trained in science and logical reasoning. We join with other organizations of professionals, such as Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth, Pilots for 9/11 Truth, Firefighters for 9/11 Truth, and Lawyers for 9/11 Truth, and millions of individual citizens in demanding a thorough, impartial, open and transparent reinvestigation of the terrorist acts of 9/11."
Most fortunately, for all of us who have dealt with the denial that first accompanies our introduction to this extremely difficult evidence and who have tried (in vain many times) to educate our political leaders, the new group counts among its petition signers—psychiatrists and psychotherapists.

Francis Shure, M.Ed, MA, LPC, psychotherapist, shares with us "It is time for Americans to inform themselves and demand an investigation. If we do not, can we be surprised if we sustain another terrorist attack? Or have more of our Constitutional freedoms legislated away from us? We must not be in denial any longer. Our elected representatives know it is political suicide to approach this subject, so it is up to us. We are going to have to lead our leaders.
The petition calls for "a new and independent investigation into the events of 9/11/01 by a duly constituted legal body with the authority to subpoena and require testimony under oath."

We wholeheartedly welcome the Medical Professionals to the 9/11 truth community, and we fully expect them to become a leading voice in the movement.
