The mission statement of Colorado Public Television – Channel 12 (CPT12) states that it is “committed to presenting alternative perspectives and to examining information and issues not addressed elsewhere in the mainstream media.” It fulfilled that mission in spades on August 18 when it broadcast our new documentary 911: Explosive Evidence – Experts Speak Out to thousands of central Colorado TV viewers, and the premiere continued to make an impact, becoming the “most watched” and “most shared” video on PBS nationwide in September.

During the film’s television broadcast premiere, AE911Truth founder Richard Gage, AIA, met with CPT12 Development Director Shari Bernson and co-host Tom Colbert live in the studio. Gage, who also co-directed and produced the film, commented on the evidence presented in the film and on our rejection of the official 9/11 Commission Report and of the NIST Report.

“The official story about the attacks of September 11 falls apart when you look squarely at the facts and apply basic scientific principles to interpret them,” said Gage. “After more than ten years, a high-level investigation of the evidence is long overdue. Too much is at stake here to sweep the concerns of 1,700 architects and engineers under the rug. Family members of 9/11 victims speak to the viewers of this film and explain why they are still not satisfied with the answers they’ve been given by our government.”

Gage and the hosts were joined in the studio by Frances Shure, MA, LPC, one of eight psychology professionals featured in the film. These experts are a key part of the documentary who discuss the difficulties many people have in confronting the darker implications of this evidence and how necessary the truth is for healing – both individually and collectively.

The broadcast was part of CPT12’s pledge drive, so there were three 10-minute pledge breaks during the film. During each break, Gage shared the story of 9/11 Truth and gave the viewers an idea of what was coming up in the next section. Pledge premiums ranged from $80 to $300, for which donors received an assortment of 9/11 truth resources. The video was also streamed worldwide.

Between August 29 and September 2, CPT offered five more airings of Experts Speak Out as well as their previously aired 911: Blueprint for Truth on Channel 12. More TV showings of Experts Speak Out are also planned. If you miss the live showings, the documentary is available for free viewing online indefinitely. Corporate-owned media have yet to present this content, but independent, gutsy CPT12 had the courage to do it. We are encouraging everyone to call in at 1-800-690-5234 to the station or visit the CPT12 website to donate. Be sure to let them how much you appreciate their showing this film, share on Facebook or Twitter, make a comment online, and forward this announcement generously to your contacts – this needs to go around the world!

CPT12's Shari Bernson and psychologist Fran Shure discuss the problems people have with coming to terms with the evidence detailed in Experts Speak Out

We owe a huge debt of gratitude to Shure, who is also the co-founder of Colorado 9/11 Visibility. She is also one of the 9/11 Consensus Panel members, and she is listed with Medical Professionals for 9/11 Truth. She encouraged Bernson to take the lead in offering 9/11 truth programming to the Colorado public. Bernson bravely met the challenge, and CPT12 was the first US broadcaster and PBS station to air content addressing alternative theories and suppressed news about the events of 9/11.

CPT12’s U.S. premiere broadcast of 9/11: Press for Truth in June 2009 was a successful fundraiser, but not without controversy. The station received many viewer responses, pro and con, nationally and internationally. Bernson welcomed the debate, noting, “CPT12 has always supported airing alternative voices that have received censorship in the mainstream media.”

In previous years, CPT12 aired 9/11: Blueprint for Truth and other 9/11 films, which were similarly successful in generating pledges – as well as public commentary.
